Stefania Elfutina (RUS) and Francisco Saubidet Birkner (ARG) are still the best at the RS:X World Championships.
On Thursday the competition started by dividing boys into two groups: Gold and Silver.
Today the sailors had a very difficult conditions. The average wind speed was around 14 kts with gusts up to 24 kts.
For now Francisco Saubidet Birkner (ARG) is followed by Sam Wennekes (NED) and third Yoav Omer (ISR). In girls fleet the first two positions haven’t changed since the beginning of regatta. Stefania Elfutina (RUS) is still the leader and after her is Noy Drihan from Israel. The third girl is Emma Wilson from Great Britain.
Among three Polish competitors, in the gold fleet, the best was Mateusz Grochowski (SKŻ Ergo Hestia Sopot), who moved from 37th to 33th position. And among Polish gilrs the biggest progress made Michalina Bujanowska (YKP Warszawa), who promoted herself from 30th to 26th position.
For Friday it’s planed 3 races and for Saturday one medal race (including top 10 girls and boys).
