The International RS:X Class Executive Committee decided to ban the RS:X Mark 3 (black) fins also for the 2017 RS:X Windsurfing World Championships, held from 16 – 23 September, in Enoshima, Japan, due to the further production delays by manufacturer.
The official statement by NeilPryde:
We confirm that, due to production delays from Cobra, we won’t be able to deliver more than 30% of the existing worldwide black fins orders prior to September 4th 2017. The production is now full on and all outstanding orders will be full filed entirely by end November 2017.
We are now updating our distribution network with the delivery plan.
We will organise the maximum of white fins available in Enoshima and will borrow them for free to the athletes without any fins during the event.
We also would like to present our sincere excuses for all inconveniences caused by this unfortunate situation.
